2026 Engagement Ring Trends: Styles Couples Are Loving

The engagement ring styles defining 2026 — hidden halos, toi et moi, east-west settings, warm metals, and elongated lab-grown stones.

Trends in engagement rings move slowly and thoughtfully — this isn't fast fashion. But there are clear directions defining the rings couples are choosing in 2026. Here's what we're designing most right now.

Hidden halos

A hidden halo is a ring of tiny pavé diamonds set beneath the center stone, visible only from the side. It adds sparkle and makes the center look larger, without the more traditional look of a full halo around the top. It's the detail we're asked for more than any other this year.

Toi et moi

French for "you and me," a toi et moi ring sets two stones side by side — often two different shapes — to represent two people coming together. It's deeply symbolic, highly personal, and photographs beautifully. Expect to keep seeing it.

East-west settings

Instead of orienting an elongated stone vertically along the finger, an east-west setting turns it sideways. It's an unexpected, fashion-forward look that works especially well with ovals, emeralds, and marquises — a favorite among couples who want something a little different.

Warm metals are back

After years of white metals dominating, yellow and rose gold are firmly back, often paired with warmer-toned or vintage-inspired designs. We're also seeing more mixed-metal requests — a yellow-gold band with white-gold prongs, for instance.

Elongated lab-grown stones

The move toward ovals, elongated cushions, and emerald cuts continues — shapes that maximize presence on the hand. Because lab-grown diamonds stretch the budget further, couples are choosing larger elongated stones than they might have with mined diamonds a few years ago.

The through-line for 2026: personal over generic. Couples want a ring that tells their story, not one that looks like everyone else's.
